Kim is a MOCC Minister (Minister's from other connexions) from South Africa whose ministry has spanned over 20 years and a wide variety of contexts – from the heart of informal settlements to inner-city and suburban churches. Kim has a deep passion for understanding the Church as the body of Christ in the world.
Her ministry took her into the informal settlements of South Africa, where she engaged directly with communities on the margins. She later served in the inner city of Johannesburg, ministering to over 2,000 refugees housed at the Central Methodist Church – a powerful experience that shaped her understanding of the Gospel in action.
She also led a suburban congregation in Roodepoort, which celebrated diversity in all its fullness. This included establishing and nurturing a satellite congregation in the informal settlement of Mohlangeni, creating a ministry that reflected the full tapestry of South African society.
Deeply passionate about scripture, Kim is committed to exploring how God and the scriptures continue to speak into our lives today. Faith asks the question: "What does this look like in my everyday life?" – a reflection that informs both her preaching and how we live our lives.
Kim's ministry is rooted in a desire to see the Church shaped by Christ's presence in the world and lived out in the everyday.
